Dick and Marlene Snowden were life-long residents of Erie, Illinois. Dick worked for John Deere as a parts manager for many years. Marlene and Dick together had a porcelain doll business where they made porcelain dolls and doll furniture. Marlene was an avid Longaberger basket collector and Isabelle Bloom collector. They were able to travel to Europe where they visited the Hummel factory to purchase Hummels and to the Black Forest to purchase a one of a kind cuckoo clock.
